Staff who work with people living with dementia.

Course Information

​

• Issues around elder abuse will be discussed in small groups

• Staff will be aware of the factors affecting the mobility of people with dementia

• There will have been an opportunity to practise with mobility equipment that could help

• Issues around slowing mobility impairment, varying ability and re-ablement will have been discussed in a workshop format, and possible solutions suggested

• Practical strategies to reduce distress when moving people with dementia will be demonstrated

• Relevant legal issues will be discussed

• More than three weeks’ notice: No charge

• Two to three weeks’ notice: 75% charge

• Less than two weeks’ notice: Full price

In all cases, should Herts Handling Training be able to redeploy the trainer, there will be no charge
