Target Audience

Staff using minibuses or vehicles to transport people with impaired mobility, and may be required to restrain occupied wheelchairs with WTORs. will benefit from attending this course.

 

 

Course Information

​

• The correct strategies for assisting people into a vehicle will be discussed and practised

• Dealing with unpredictable events will be covered

• There will be an opportunity to practise securing wheelchairs into a vehicle

• Wheelchair pushing will be practised, emphasising person centred strategies.

• Relevant legal issues will be discussed

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations will be charged as follows:

• More than three weeks’ notice: No charge

• Two to three weeks’ notice: 75% charge

• Less than two weeks’ notice: Full price

In all cases, should Herts Handling Training be able to redeploy the trainer, there will be no charge.
